Rose Edkins

Senior Water Resource Engineer

BE(Hons) Irrigation Evaluation Accreditation

Rose helps councils, water suppliers, farmers, and industry  develop and manage water resources with confidence. With more than 20 years’ experience, she combines hydrogeological expertise with practical engineering knowledge, helping clients understand their water resources, optimise system performance and plan for the future.

Her experience includes aquifer testing, groundwater resource assessments, irrigation system design and optimisation, pipe network design, and assessment of environmental effects for groundwater and surface water takes. She has led projects ranging from public water supply bore field development and source protection planning to irrigation scheme design, performance reviews and groundwater source heat pump assessments.

Working across all stages of a project, from field investigations and data analysis through to design and reporting, Rose brings a practical understanding of how water systems perform in the real world. She is experienced in identifying and developing groundwater sources, overseeing drilling and testing programmes and advising on system upgrades that improve efficiency, reliability and long-term performance.

Rose is valued for her ability to connect groundwater science with practical engineering outcomes. Whether supporting a farm irrigation scheme, a community water supply or major infrastructure projects, she helps clients understand what’s possible and how to achieve it.
