There will be no increase to annual data charges as a result of the change to the new system. The current ‘MyIrrigation’ platform is at the end of its useful life, and we will be bringing users over to the new system over the next few months.

For users with ‘legacy’ telemetry systems that run on the 2G or 3G cellular networks these old systems will need to be upgraded as they won’t work with the new system and these networks are being shut down soon. If you have legacy telemetry and need an upgrade, you will hear from us shortly.

The new system will see field data from your systems seamlessly uploaded into the MyIrrigation (powered by SCADAfarm) platform. Apart from the old legacy systems as mentioned above the field instrumentation remains untouched, while the customer experience will change for the better.

You will be able to graphically view all your sensor data (soil moisture, flowrate, water level, etc.) on your phone, tablet, or PC. Because it's web-based, access is effortless (no passwords to forget), and navigation is simple and intuitive.

• The forwarding of compliance data (flowrates, levels, etc.) to local regional councils will continue seamlessly as will the alerts warning of limits being exceeded so you can remain compliant. 

Other advantages of the system include:

• Predictive Soil Moisture monitoring — this optional feature is a vital tool for growers using current and forecasted weather data to predict soil moisture levels up to 4 days in the future. This is an incredibly powerful tool for effective irrigation scheduling.

• Easy download access to raw data for those for who are ‘data-minded’. A whole-of-season reporting tool is currently under development.
