Irrigation management, design and monitoring

We provide ‘face-to-face’ active support to primary industries across agriculture, viticulture and horticulture, as well as advice and technical expertise to organisations — from catchment-scale groups through to district, regional and central government. Our advice and support help our clients to make wise, environmentally sustainable water and land management decisions.
How we work
Aqualinc provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to water and land resource management. Our independent consultancy services intersect with our investment in leading-edge research, smart technology and collaborative working, putting us in the best position to help water and land users maximise the potential of our land and water.
Collaborative working is key to our success, and we value the contributions of our extensive network of clients and colleagues in the water and land management community. Collaboration, innovation and a commitment to excellent service are three of our core values.
Our history
John Bright and Ian McIndoe, two like-minded engineers, founded Aqualinc in late 2003. In early 2004 they were joined by colleague Greg Barkle as the initial shareholders.
Since then, Aqualinc have grown to a national company, with over 30 full-time staff actively involved in land and water resource management, research, and irrigation design and development, both in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
We have offices across the country, in:
-
Christchurch / Ōtautahi
-
Ashburton / Hakatere
-
Hastings / Heretaunga
-
Cromwell / Tīrau
In 2015, Aqualinc acquired HydroServices, an independent irrigation management and soil and water resource consultancy that had been providing services throughout Aotearoa New Zealand since 1983.
