Hunter is an Environmental Scientist who helps clients understand detailed environmental data and how to respond with confidence. Combining field-based monitoring with data analysis and reporting, he creates practical, actionable insights that support environmental management, regulatory compliance and resource management decisions.
He leads Aqualinc’s fieldwork programme, managing the monitoring across pasture, soil, groundwater, and surface water systems. He is responsible for delivering end to end monitoring projects, including field sampling, data interpretation, and reporting, ensuring clients receive clear, defensible insights to support resource management and operational decisions.
Hunter is particularly recognised for his work in effluent pond seepage testing, completing more than 70 tests across a range of sites and conditions. He designs and implements testing programmes, managing field investigations, interpreting results to assess pond performance and compliance and environmental risk. His practical understanding of seepage processes means he can share clear advice on regulatory compliance and potential mitigation measures.
Alongside his monitoring work, Hunter has extensive experience supporting resource consenting and environmental assessment projects. This gives him a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, connecting technical findings with the practical realities of compliance and approval processes.
