Are you a graduate?
Working at Aqualinc gives you the opportunity to learn from experienced scientists and engineers while building practical skills across a wide range of water and land management projects.
As a graduate, you’d be involved in both field and office work, gaining a broad understanding of how water systems are assessed, managed and improved.

Summer internships.
We offer summer internships for university students interested in careers in water science, engineering and environmental management.
Internships typically run from November to February and provide hands-on experience working alongside our team.
As an intern, you would:
- Take part in an induction programme
- Gain experience in both field and office work
- Work alongside experienced team members
- Be involved in team and social activities
Students who perform well during their internship may be considered for future graduate roles.
What we look for.
You don’t need extensive experience to join our team. What matters most is curiosity, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in water and land systems.
We welcome candidates with a background or interest in agriculture, engineering or science. Experience or interest in the following areas is also valuable:
- Irrigation and soil moisture management
- Water resource consents
- Public water supply
- Environmental research
