Aimee is a Water Resource Scientist with experience in hydrology and environmental management. Her work spans environmental database management, land use assessments, and hydrological analysis.
She has contributed to technical investigations in hydrology, water and land resources, and resource management, including nutrient management and water quality related to primary industries. Her experience also includes rainfall analysis, lake level frequency analysis, hydraulic modelling, and geomorphic assessments. Aimee has provided expert advice to iwi, hapū, regional councils and catchment groups, particularly in the context of the Essential Freshwater Reform Policy. Her work has supported land use planning, capability building, and cultural health monitoring, with a strong emphasis on integrating Mātauranga Māori and facilitating knowledge sharing.
Her Master’s research focused on land use change around Aotearoa’s braided rivers, aiming to bridge the gap between environmental science and policy. This work gave her a deep understanding of how geospatial tools and legal frameworks can be integrated to support braided river governance.
